The Valencia area is well known for the oranges that it grows. The Valencia orange tree is unique among oranges, producing a fruit nice in its sweetness and little bitter. They have a deep orange hue that people associate with the perfect orange.
Tradicionally Valencian Region´s agriculture has been dedicated to citrus fruits, the weather in Valencia provides the perfect growing opportunity for orange trees, with just the right mixture of rain and sunshine that makes the fruit fat and sweet. These Valencia’s Oranges characteristics made them the best in the world. The orange is essential in the Mediterranean Diet. All of this occurs naturally in trees in Valencia area.

Venamicasa invites you to enjoy a different day out walking in the countryside, in the landscapes of the Valencian Region La Ribera, walking through idyllic and historic orange groves in Carcaixent (Valencia), visiting San Vicente’s orange grove and its beautiful cottage dated from the ends of 18th century.


Learn how oranges are collected and taste this delicious fruit directly from the trees, discover the complete route of the orange, the process from the grove to the table throughout a full interesting visit to a orange warehouse in the area.

Departing from Valencia, we start our trip in the morning on the bus towards to Carxaixent, Region of La Ribera. You will be overwhelmed by its scenery in which, more than towns or buildings, you will see fields and more fields of orange and lemon trees, with groves scattered throughout the countryside around the town in a scenery full of beauty,

The visit to San Vicente’s Orchard is extremely nice, orange and lemon trees between the palms and the gardens of the original cottage of the time, in perfect state of preservation releasing the region’s history, showing how the area and the rich orange trade of the time have grown together over the years.walking-through-san-vicentes-orange-groves-and-gardens
It is an experience that will connect you with the nature, landscape and roots of Valencian culture, as well as enjoying of a different day out in the countryside and the beauty of its scenery.
The tour is available from October until May, which is when fruit can be seen on the trees.
Most of the orange trees blossom from April to May, when the beauty and aroma in the countrysides is indescribable.
